Carl Stahl Sava Industries is proud to contribute an article on electrocutting cable for endoscopic applications in this year’s Medical Devices edition of Medical Design Briefs. The global trade publication reaches over 90,000 OEM engineers and manufacturing managers and boasts a readership comprising more than 40,000 BPA-audited subscribers.

The article, which explains the complexities of both electrocutting and mechanically cutting cable for endoscopic miniature cable assemblies, was written by Sava’s Vice President of Engineering, Greg Soja. In it, the piece expands on the sophisticated cable cutting requirements common in the medical devices space and details the appropriate techniques for achieving the ideal cut for devices requiring mechanical cable assemblies.

“When I first started seeing these questions from our customers and began to understand the problems they were having with their devices, I recognized an opportunity to help by improving this process,” said Soja.

“Sava sets up a team to improve our cutting processes and through seemingly countless iterations and tests, we were able to provide our customers with solutions that worked in their designs. We continue to monitor and improve our processes to make them more efficient and cost effective. It’s been mutually beneficial for everyone and we’re excited to be able to help our customers.”

The medical devices manufacturing industry is a global incubator of innovation. The markets device makers serve contain some of the most pioneering companies on earth. Sava is excited to contribute and honored to have met the rigid editorial standards of such a well-known and trusted trade magazine as Medical Design Briefs.
